Nursery Tour

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!!  We sure did.  We just took it easy, well I did anyway.  I did a lot of sitting.  My legs have been swelling like crazy so I’ve been having to sit with my feet elevated a lot.

Alrighty, so I FINALLY finished editing the nursery pics.  I am really not good AT ALL at editing or taking pictures but I tried.  I made a source list at the bottom in case you’re wondering where anything is from.  So without further ado…

{This is the view standing in the doorway, looking straight ahead.  Behold!  My art project that I am finally showing you!}

{As you turn right from walking in the doorway, you face this little dresser which holds most of his clothing.  The top drawer is newborn and 0-3 mo, the middle drawer is 3-6 mo and the bottom is a few 6-9 mo outfits.}

{These bins will eventually be filled with toys, I’m sure, but for now they hold diapers and extra supplies.}

{Corduroy bear hanging out in the nursing chair.}

{Changing table- obvi.  I have yet to make a liner for the basket but I am going to put his diapers/wipes/creams in there.}

{The adorable sheets from Land of Nod- I don’t think it’s available anymore!?!}

{The alphabet art project that took  f o r e v e r  to finish.}

{This little guy still doesn’t know what to make of this.  He’s going to find out really soon though!}

Alphabet letters :: Made by me {Cardboard letters from Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts with decorative paper modge podged to them.  The two large letters were painted.}

What do you guys think?  Do you think I should add a rug?  I bought the grey zig zag rug from Urban Outfitters but the “white” was so dingy/dirty looking in there that we had to return it.  Such a bummer because it was the best priced 8×10 rug that I’ve found so far {I paid $179 with free shipping.}  If you think I should do a rug, are there any in particular you think would look awesome in here?

  1. LOVE IT :) :) Can’t wait to meet Caden!

  2. I love the nursery. Specifically,
    -I drool over the alphabet
    -I covet your painted mirror
    -I want to plop and rock a sweet baby in your chair
    -I envy your storage under the window

    and the glass lamps gives me nervous anxiety. But C won’t be pulling them down for a few months yet ;)

    I love this. I love you. And I love sweet Caden already.

      thanks m’lady, I’m just trying to be like you ;)

      yeah we’ll deal with the glass lamps in a bit, specifically the one on the table next to the nursing chair.

      <3 you!

    What if you added a small rug just in front of the crib for the occasional sprinkles and drips! Ha Ha! I like the grey you picked. Can you share the color?

    • Erin

      Haha, I might eventually add something there… I’ll probably just wait for now and if I see something that fits perfectly, I’ll get it. The color is Valspar (Lowes) Frappe 6003-1B :)

  4. big sissy

    You are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. you know that? The nursery looks fantastic and Caden is lucky to have such a design savvy mama. Well done little sissy, it’s beautiful!

  5. Gorgeous nursery! Great colors and I love the alphabet wall, that’s so cool!

  6. Steve

    You are so talented and cleaver!! Great design!! Saw your mom and Tyler (with girlfriend; cute!) at church Christmas Eve. Sounds like you’re getting close; very exciting. We are praying.
    Love Steve

  7. Positively gorgeous!! Wow!!

  8. Molly

    I love this! Will you design my nursery when I have kids?

  9. Cami

    Hi! I am in love with the alphabet wall. You mentioned that you did this using cardboard, would you consider sharing your secret on how you did this? Your nursery is beautiful!

    • Erin

      Aww thanks so much! I used the cardboard letters from Jo-Anns- they come in 3 different sizes. I need to do a post on that, I’ve been meaning to! Hopefully I can get around to it this week or next. Things don’t get done as quickly with a baby around! Thanks for stopping by! :)
